Here is a news article from the York Press following my recent visit to the city.

THE life of one of England’s most famous kings has come under the spotlight in York.
Children’s author Julia Jarman has been inviting children to join her at local libraries to learn more about her new book, Henry VIII Has To Choose.
It looks at what happened when the colourful Tudor monarch was on the look-out for another wife and sent his painter to create portraits of the most attractive princesses.

Julia’s sessions were held at New Earswick Library Learning Centre, Clifton Library and Tang Hall Library, where she also outlined how she writes books such as her The Travelling Cat series and answered questions posed by children aged between five and nine, as well as their parents.

It is part of the annual Big City Read initiative, which forms a segment of City of York Council’s drive to unlock the creative talents of the city’s residents by encouraging them to read the same book and join in events celebrating the chosen novel.
